Chris Brunt says he doesn't know what position he will be playing in when he makes a return for West Brom.
Brunt suffered a cruciate knee ligament last season but is now closing in on an Albion first-team return.
The 31-year-old has played in midfield and on the win during his time with the club but under current boss Tony Pulis he has predominantly been utilised at left-back.
Allan Nyom has started on the left side of defence in each of the Baggies' last two games and fellow summer recruit Brendan Galloway has also been used at left-back this term.
Brunt admits he is unsure of his role ahead of his first-team return but he stressed he is happy to play anywhere under Pulis.
"That'll be down to the gaffer, if he wants to play me or if he doesn't," he told the Express & Star. "To be totally honest I'm not really too sure where my position is anymore.
"Last season I played mostly left-back, in internationals I've ended up playing left-back too.
"If I'm fit and ready and wherever the gaffer feels I need to go into the team in whatever position I'll go in there and do my best, that's all you can do I suppose."
