Nacer Chadli's fine start to life with West Brom has come as no surprise to his former team-mate Toby Alderweireld.

Chadli left Spurs for West Brom in a £13million move in the summer and is set to face his former employers on Saturday when Tottenham visit the Hawthorns.

Belgium international Alderweireld says Chadli is a "tough opponent" and he isn't looking forward to coming up against his compatriot this weekend.

"He is going to be a very tough opponent when we come up against him on Saturday," Alderweireld said, as reported by the Daily Star.

"Am I looking forward to the reunion? Not really! I respect him, but it will be a great battle for us. You have seen at West Brom how well he is doing already.

"That was no surprise to me. He has made a quick impact there, has scored goals and impressed people after going there for a large fee."
