Middlesbrough defender Dael Fry was surprisingly drafted in to train with England's senior squad at St George's Park on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old, currently on loan at Championship side Rotherham, was at the FA's headquarters this week as he's part of the England Under-20 squad.
However, the teenager was asked to step in and train with the full England squad instead ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Malta on Saturday and was put through his paces by interim boss Gareth Southgate, alongside established stars such as Wayne Rooney, Jordan Henderson and Kyle Walker.
Reports say Fry will now not feature for the England Under-20s in their match against the Netherlands at Oldham on Thursday due to his senior squad involvement.
It is thought Fry was asked to fill in in training with several senior players sitting out the session to rest knocks.
