Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton has been forced to pull out of the England squad after picking up a 'minor injury'.
Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been called into the England squad for the first time to replace Heaton, who will now return to Lancashire rather than head to Slovenia with the rest of Gareth Southgate's squad.
The full details of the injury have yet to be revealed, but the FA confirmed in a statement that it was nothing serious and he would return to Turf Moor.
Heaton took his place on the bench as England kicked off their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-0 win over Malta at Wembley on Saturday.
Pickford, who has made five Premier League appearances for the Black Cats this season, has previously won nine England Under-21 caps under Gareth Southgate.
The Football Association announced Pickford had been summoned into the contingent who will face Slovenia in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night.
