The Seagulls are currently playing in their first Premier League campaign, but they have found life tough so far.

Hughton's men are currently 16th in the league table, with just one win to their name.

After beating West Brom two weeks ago, Brighton have since lost to Bournemouth, in both the league and Carabao Cup, and Hughton admits his team must learn to live with disappointing results.

He told reporters: "The key is going to be responding to them (disappointing results). Putting them in the past and focusing on the next games and also trying to be happy with the majority of what you're seeing both in games and training.

"We recognised at the start of the season it would be tougher season.

"The player's mindsets have been very good and so has the training and what we need to do is put as much of that in to practice on the main arena and the next opportunity is against Newcastle."
