Brazilian midfielder Neto was expected to complete a move to the newly-promoted Premier League side but the Seagulls have pulled out of a deal for the Gent star over fitness concerns following a failed medical.

Hughton has been swift to shift his focus in the market and now the Seagulls are thought to be moving in for 21-year-old midfielder Normann for Norwegian top flight outfit Bodo/Glimt.

The former Norway youth international is believed to be a bright prospect and could join Brighton's Under-23 squad before pushing for a first-team position next season.
