Paul Lambert confirmed the availability of the Potters' Spain international striker, who has missed large periods of the campaign due to personal reasons.

'He's had a bit of time off and I thought his fitness levels were down a little bit from his personal stuff,' said Lambert. 'But he's back, he played in a U23s game and he did well.'

Lambert revealed that the rest of the Stoke squad is in good shape for the vital home clash against Chris Hughton's side.

New signing Badou Ndiaye looks set to keep his place in midfield after Lambert praised him for his performance on his Potters debut in the 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth last weekend.
