Ahmed Musa says Nigerian legend Nwankwo Kanu advised him to make the move to Leicester this summer.
Musa joined the Foxes for around £15million from CSKA Moscow and he's hoping to become an established member of Claudio Ranieri's side this season.
The forward has plenty of competition for places with Islam Slimani, Jamie Vardy, Leonardo Ulloa and Shinji Okazaki all vying for starting roles but the 23-year-old is sure he made the right choice in moving to the Premier League.
Musa says former Arsenal striker Kanu, a fellow Nigerian, told him he would be suited to life in England when Leicester were interested in the summer.
"I grew up as an Arsenal fan. All because of Nwankwo Kanu, he is like a role model for me," he told the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper.
"I got to know him when I started playing in the national team. He's like a hero in Nigeria. We always have contact with each other and I spoke to him before I came to Leicester. I was in Russia and he called me, because he always advises me what to do.
"He told me that I would enjoy it in the Premier League and England, that it was a nice place."
