Lee Croft and Ryan McLaughlin to be assessed by Oldham ahead of Scunthorpe game

Oldham will check on Lee Croft and Ryan McLaughlin when they entertain Scunthorpe.

A back injury sustained on Friday kept Croft out of the 2-0 loss to Bolton the following day while McLaughlin's troublesome thigh injury also kept him on the sidelines.

Forward Calaum Jahraldo-Martin made just his second appearance of the season in an 11-minute cameo having recovered from a hamstring problem.

Latics have yet to record a home win in the league since former Northern Ireland assistant Stephen Robinson took on the job in the summer.

Scunthorpe will be without goalkeeper Luke Daniels after he was knocked out during a collision with Samir Carruthers in Saturday's home win against MK Dons.

Daniels was able to walk from the field after the incident in the 75th minute but will play no part at Oldham and his replacement Joe Anyon will start in his absence.

Boss Graham Alexander is expecting several unnamed players to shake off bumps and bruises and has no other major problems.

Defender Jordan Clarke (ankle) is still out and striker Luke Williams is working his way back from long-term injury.
