Millwall have lost a second appeal against the red card shown to midfielder Jed Wallace during their recent clash with Burton.
Wallace was shown a straight red card by referee Tony Harrington for his challenge on Tom Flanagan during the 1-0 defeat and the Lions launched an immediate appeal.
After the FA upheld the decision, Millwall described the appeals process as "archaic" and requested a meeting with the governing body, the Professional Game Match Officials Board and the English Football League.
The Lions' case was re-heard, but the same outcome was reached and Wallace must now serve a three-game ban.
Millwall released a statement voicing their disappointment at the decision.
"The club maintains its stance that a review of the entire appeals process needs to be undertaken in order to ensure clarity and consistency in decision making for the good of the game," it read.
