Graeme Murty was pleased by the impact of new signings Jamie Murphy and Sean Goss in Rangers' Florida Cup win over Atletico Mineiro.
Josh Windass scored the only goal as Rangers beat the Brazilian side 1-0 in Orlando but it was a couple of new recruits that caught manager Murty's eye.
"Sean and Jamie both added to the squad and showed little glimpses of what they are about," Murty told RangersTV.
"Hopefully with a little bit more work and a little bit more integration they could be really positive for the second half of the season."
Murphy is a loan signing from Brighton and Hove Albion and Rangers took the winger with a view to a permanent move while Goss joined on loan from Queens Park Rangers.
Rangers face Brazilian champions Corinthians on Saturday in their second and final match of the Florida Cup, an eight-team tournament that also includes PSV Eindhoven and Legia Warsaw.
