Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner feels his side are looking in good shape following their 3-1 friendly victory over Bury.

The newly-promoted Premier League side trailed on Sunday to a goal from former Town player Jermaine Beckford but Steve Mounie, Tom Ince and Elias Kachunga (pen) all found the back of the net to ensure a 3-1 victory at Gigg Lane.

With new signings getting on the scoresheet and the team starting to gel, Wagner has been pleased with what he has seen in preseason so far ahead of the club's first campaign in the Premier League.

He told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner: "You always want to win football matches, even pre-season matches, but I was very happy with the performance and that everybody has come through healthy.

"I am also pleased we have taken another step in our pre-season in terms of match fitness and in terms of how we work as a group."

Town will be looking to keep up their winning momentum when they play SV Sandhausen in Germany on Tuesday.
