Leroy Sane is in the Manchester City squad that will face Basel tonight and Pep Guardiola has hinted he could play a part.
The German winger was ruled out for six to seven weeks after suffering ankle ligament damage in City's FA Cup win at Cardiff on January 28, but after making a miraculous recovery is now back in training well ahead of schedule.
Sane trained on Monday morning before heading to Basel with the rest of the squad, and although an appearance tonight is unlikely, boss Pep Guardiola refused to rule it out completely.
'I'm surprised,' Guardiola said. 'He worked a lot. You couldn't expect with a young guy [to be] so professional. And the physio was perfect. He's not in a perfect condition.
'But he wants to help us and he's with us. And that is good news. They did a good job, the physios.'
Elsewhere, David Silva also trained after missing the last two games through injury, as did Fabian Delph, who has been missing for the last month.
Vincent Kompany is also in contention to play in what would be his first European game for City since the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid in April 2016.
