Silva admits to losing out over transfer

Silva is closing in on his Foxes debut, with 2018 now less than seven weeks away, after not being able to feature since his deadline-day switch from Sporting Lisbon due to the paperwork being sent 14 seconds late.

After numerous appeals, Silva has now admitted he is the one who has lost out the most.

Silva told the Mirror: “I felt a great disillusionment with everything that happened, which I was not responsible for, but I am the big loser.

“The talks were very late, on the last day, because Leicester was selling a player, (Danny) Drinkwater, to Chelsea, and as long as that transfer did not materialise, mine could not be closed.

"I could not train with my team-mates in the first three weeks, I trained with my brother, and it was only after that time that I joined the normal team work, but I always have to do extra work after training to compensate for the lack of competition.”
