Hartlepool boss Craig Hignett will be without goalkeeper Trevor Carson and defender Liam Donnelly for the clash with Crawley.
Carson is on international duty with Northern Ireland, while Donnelly is away with the same country's Under-21s.
Hignett rested eight players for the midweek Checkatrade Trophy fixture against Sunderland Under-23s, and five of those are likely to return as midfielder Nicky Featherstone misses out through suspension.
Defender Jake Carroll is expected to overcome a knee problem while midfielder Lewis Hawkins could yet figure despite being withdrawn with sciatic nerve pain on Tuesday night, but striker Bradley Fewster has returned to parent club Middlesbrough for treatment on a hamstring strain and Matthew Bates, Rob Jones and Michael Woods are still out.
Striker Adi Yussuf is a doubt for Crawley.
Manager Dermot Drummy told reporters that he will face a late fitness test due to muscular problems and is expected to start the game on the bench.
There are no other injury or suspension worries for the club but Drummy is not expected to make many changes from the 1-0 win over Blackpool last weekend.
The Reds are looking to go five league games unbeaten and they sit fifth in the table.
