Burnley boss Sean Dyche is reported to be on the wanted list of Aston Villa as they look to replace the sacked Roberto Di Matteo.
Villa have had a tough start to life in the Championship and after falling way off the pace in the race to win promotion back to the Premier League, Di Matteo was relieved of his duties.
Former Hull boss Steve Bruce is the hot favourite to take charge at Villa Park but reports have suggested the Midlands outfit also like Dyche and could make an approach.
The big question would be whether Dyche would be willing to drop back down to the Championship after guiding the Clarets to the Premier League last season.
It has been suggested the chance to manage a club the size of Villa could twist the arm of Dyche, and a shock switch could be on the cards for the Clarets boss.
Compensation would have to be paid but that would not be a concern for Villa, who forked out almost £50million on new players in the summer.
