Ross Brawn says Sebastian Vettel's form is the "key" to Ferrari's hopes of continuing their resurgence in 2017.
Following a mixed couple of years after joining the Scuderia in 2015, the German has started to repeat the form he showed in winning four straight Drivers' Championships with Red Bull.
Wins in Australia and Bahrain have helped him take an early lead after five races of this year's campaign and he and his team look to be the ones who have adapted best to new regulations brought in for 2017.
Brawn was an important part of the backroom staff at Ferrari during Michael Schumacher's heyday and is currently F1's Managing Director of Motorsports.
The 62-year-old says it is good for the sport that the Italian outfit is back at the forefront and believes Vettel's form is the key to maintaining their resurgence.
"What Sebastian is doing in the red car is great advertising for Formula 1," he said. "Most fans want to see a successful Ferrari team, and Sebastian is the key to it."
