Daniel Ricciardo has admitted it was an "emotional" day after winning the Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday.
The Red Bull ace took advantage of an engine failure for then leader Lewis Hamilton to claim the victory in Sepang, with team-mate Max Verstappen securing second spot on the podium.
Nico Rosberg managed to secure third and now has a healthy 23-point lead over his Mercedes team-mate Hamilton in the World Drivers' Championship.
As for Ricciardo he was delighted with his first win since 2014 and feels he deserves a bit of luck after being unfortunate not to win the Monaco Grand Prix earlier this year.
He said: "It was a race of challenges, Lewis got the lead and had his problems. I am not one for believing in a whole lot, but it went the other way in Monaco, and I will take this today.
"It has been two years since the last win, and it has been a bit emotional. We have come so close but I said two weeks ago we would win one and we did."
