There has been growing speculation that Australian Ricciardo could be a future partner for Hamilton, with Valtteri Bottas having just a year remaining on his deal with the Silver Arrows.

However Wolff says he is happy with the current blend of drivers on the track and also feels the personnel behind the scenes is working well to deliver further success to Mercedes in 2018.

"The team is strong I would say, at the moment," told ESPN.

"Valtteri has filled the slot quite well and thinking how the championship panned out, Valtteri and Lewis [Hamilton] was probably the best combination we could have had.

"In terms of the organisation, I'm extremely happy that all the relevant people have stayed in the team and continue to develop the organisation, we have young leaders coming up now and they will be shortly picking up the ball."
