Hannover have opened the door for Arsenal centre-back Per Mertesacker to return to the club when his contract expires.
The Arsenal skipper is currently working his way back to full fitness but is thought to be considering his future beyond his spell in the Premier League with the Gunners.
Mertesacker, who is in the final year of his deal at the Emirates, has spoken of his fondness for his hometown club in Hannover and has admitted a return to the Bundesliga could well be a possibility in the future.
Bader is a big fan of the 32-year-old but knows it could be some time before Hannover are in a position to lure the giant defender back to the HDI-Arena.
He told Bild: "The Per Mertesacker issue right now is not on top of our list. We're a second-division side, he's the Arsenal captain.
"A lot of things have to come together, and the first requirement would be to win promotion. It [Mertesacker return] is far away now and it sounds crazy, but a lot of things are possible in football."
