Dustin Johnson believes he's playing near to his best again after moving into a share of the lead at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Johnson's second-round seven-under-par 64 left him on -12 under for the tournament overall, sharing the lead with Beau Hossler, who carded a 67 at Spyglass Hill.
Johnson admits he's in great shape heading into the second half of the tournament and not far off the form he showed 12 months ago when he claimed three successive titles.
'I don’t know if it’s quite as good as it was during that stretch (last year),' he said. 'That was probably some of the best golf I’ve played in my career, but parts of the game are just as good.
'I would say that I‘m driving it well, but I‘m probably not quite as good as I was when on those three wins, but everything else feels like it’s really good.'
American duo Troy Merritt and Julian Suri are next on the leaderboard behind Hossler in a group at 10-under, while Jon Rahm, Phil Mickelson and Jason Day are all next at -9.
