Manager Pep Guardiola is keen to boost his full-back options and, although a right-back is the more pressing priority, reports indicate he has set his sights on Scotland international Tierney.

The defender made his Celtic debut in April 2015 and established himself as a key member of the side last term, winning both the Players' and Writers' Young Player annual awards.

The likes of Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been linked with the defender in the past and now City have seemingly joined the battle for his signature.

Celtic are keen to keep hold of Tierney, who is under contract until 2021, but it has been suggested the Scottish champions may be tempted into a sale by a bid in the region of £10million.
