West Ham could cut Gokhan Tore's season-long loan deal short after losing the midfielder for up to five weeks to a thigh injury.
The 24-year-old has struggled to impress boss Slaven Bilic following his summer switch from Besiktas and the injury suffered on international duty could be the excuse the Hammers need to send him back to his parent club.
According to reports, Tore is expected to be out for at least a month, joining a growing injury list at the London Stadium, with Sam Byram, Arthur Masuaku, Andy Carroll, Andre Ayew and Aaron Cresswell all on the sidelines.
Tore's absence will have minimal impact on Bilic's team, though, with the midfielder having struggled to impress in his five outings to date.
The West Ham boss was already considering whether to cut Tore's loan deal short in the new year despite paying £2.5million to bring him to east London, and it now appears likely Hammers fans have seen the last of him in claret and blue.
