Liverpool defender Ragnar Klavan has described moving to Liverpool in the summer as like 'winning the lottery'.
The defender joined the Reds from Augsburg in the summer for £4.2m and he appears to be settling into his new life well with several assured performances so far.
The 30-year-old Estonian has settled into life on Mersyside but admits he was surprised by the move and even thought he was being pranked by a TV show when the call came from his agent spelling out Jurgen Klopp's interest.
“This whole situation, to be a 30-year-old Estonian and to have your agent calling you saying Liverpool is very interested in you, that Klopp is a big fan of yours.
“You could think that someone is doing some kind of [prank] television show.
“So far I’ve enjoyed every minute, every second—this is seriously the world’s top level.
“This is definitely like winning the lottery for me.”
