Lambert admits to January struggles

The newly-appointed Potters boss is keen to bring in a few fresh faces to the bet365 Stadium and the Staffordshire outfit have been linked with the New York City winger Jack Harrison.

However Lambert has admitted it is not easy to bring in quality in the January window, as he does not want to sign players for the sake of it.

He was quoted by the Telegraph saying: “We will try to bring somebody in but I don’t just want to bring someone in to just be another body and fill a locker. We’ve got a big squad as it is.

“There are one or two we’re thinking of looking at, but January is not a nice month, It’s difficult, it really is.”
