The scout that recommends players to Watford has been spotted in France watching Lille midfielders Thiago Maia and Yves Bissouma.
Reports in Italy claim Andrea Carnevale, the most trusted scout of Watford's owners, has been paying attention to the young Lille duo.
Maia is a Brazilian defensive midfielder who was part of the gold medal winning squad at the Rio Olympics last year.
The 20-year-old joined Lille from Santos for £12.5million in the summer and he shares the same agent as Hornets star Richarlison.
Bissouma, 21, is more of a box to box type midfielder and came through the youth ranks at the French club.
He was part of the Mali squad that finished as runners up in the 2016 African Cup of Nations, scoring his country's winning goal in their semi-final win over Ivory Coast.
