Everton are reportedly set to raid Dutch side PSV Eindhoven for their current technical director Marcel Brands.
The 55-year-old, who has been with PSV since 2010, had been linked with a switch to Chelsea in December although a deal failed to materialise.
However, Toffees majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is now thought to be keen to take Brands to Goodison Park as he looks to overhaul the backroom staff under current manager Sam Allardyce.
Steve Walsh has held the director of football role since 2016 but his future has been in doubt since Ronald Koeman was axed as manager earlier in the season.
And with Brands renowned for attracting up-and-coming top European talent to PSV, it's being suggested Moshiri would like him to do the same for Everton in the future.
The main obstacle is that Brands is contracted to PSV until 2020 and the Eredivisie outfit will no doubt be keen to keep him on board unless a substantial amount of compensation is forthcoming.
