Stoke boss Mark Hughes believes his side were more than worthy of a share of the points against Manchester United on Sunday.
The Potters travelled to United looking to end a run of 13 defeats on the bounce at Old Trafford, however, their early season form didn’t provide much optimism.
Stoke have yet to win a match in the league this season and still remain 19th with just three points to their name, but Hughes has praised his squad for not allowing their poor form to affect their performance.
The Welshman feels that they deserved something from Sunday’s clash as they fought back late on through a Joe Allen goal following Anthony Martial’s opener.
Hughes said: “Before the game I don’t think too many people thought we would get a positive result.
“But the guys in the dressing room thought differently to that and I sensed a real positivity. On the day we more than deserved a point.”
