Liverpool will give Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum until the last minute to prove their fitness ahead of the clash with Man Utd.
Lallana has been out of action with the groin strain he suffered in the Reds' last match against Swansea, forcing him to miss England's two World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia.
The 28-year-old is continuing to struggle with the issue but boss Jurgen Klopp has not ruled him out of Monday's big match yet as he waits to see whether he will be passed fit.
Klopp is also waiting on Wijnaldum after the midfielder picked up a hip injury while playing for the Netherlands during the international break.
Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren are both available though after pulling out of their respective nation's World Cup qualifiers through injury and the duo should be part of Liverpool's backline for the visit of United.
Joe Gomez and Sheyi Ojo are long-term absentees for Liverpool.
