Liverpool are reported to have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay in the summer.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is looking for creative reinforcements following the departure of Philippe Coutinho, and it is now claimed that Demirbay is on his radar.
Naby Keita will complete his switch at the end of the season, but he could be joined at Anfield by another Bundesliga star, if reports are to be believed.
The German international has caught the eye and both Liverpool and Arsenal have told Demirbay's agent they are willing to pay the £28million release clause in his contract.
The 24-year-old is in hot demand though and competition for his signature will be fierce. Merseyside rivals Everton, along with AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Schalke and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be keen.
