The attacking midfielder had a goal bound effort saved but United keeper David de Gea last week but he is determined to go one better at Old Trafford this week.

The Brazilian ace has faced Liverpool's arch rivals five times since he joined the club from Inter Milan three years ago but he has never scored against them and he is determined to put that right.

“It would mean a lot,” he told the Echo.

“Whenever we score a goal it is very good. Last week I was close but ended up missing.

“I have to continue working to be able to score goals and, of course, to score a goal in a game like this, in the Europa League, would be a very special moment.”
