Manchester United are ready to break the bank in order to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, reports have claimed.
United have already paid a world-record fee to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus, but it looks as though they are willing to go a step further with their next major move.
Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford, but it is now claimed that Griezmann is Jose Mourinho's number one target.
The Frenchman has always insisted he is happy with Atletico, but as doubts surround the future of boss Diego Simeone, he is said to be considering his future.
Griezmann showed his class with six goals at Euro 2016 and he has continued such form into the new season with Atletico, and such performances are not going unnoticed.
Chelsea are also said to be in the hunt, but United are leading the race after Mourinho ordered Ed Woodward to get a deal wrapped up as soon as possible.
