England inside centre Luther Burrell is ready for the physical battle his side will face when they take on Australia on Saturday.
The two teams will go head-to-head in the first match of their three-game Test series in Brisbane, in what is the first meeting between the two sides since the 2015 World Cup.
England coach Eddie Jones has been urging his side to adopt a physical approach that he has dubbed ‘Bodyline’ rugby against the Wallabies and Northampton Saints ace Burrell is relishing the prospect of a physical battle at Suncorp Stadium.
He told Sky Sports: "My interpretation of Bodyline is being physical, about being aggressive and providing a good platform for the forwards to work on.
"That's why he (Eddie Jones) has brought me in and why I am starting this weekend because the Aussies are going to play this fast and physical and my job will be to be physical down that 12 channel."
Burrell knows he and his team-mates will have to be on the top of their games defensively if they are to secure a positive result on Saturday, as they attempt to right the wrongs of their 33-13 defeat to Michael Cheika's side during last year's World Cup.
He added: "As a backline we are going to have to be assertive in our defence and make sure that we shut them down."
