The 22-year-old is equally as happy in the second row or as a centre and had been with Warrington since joining them back in 2016 from North Wales Crusaders after a spell in Australia.

Catalans Dragons head coach Steve McNamara is trying to build a squad which will compete in the Super Eights next season after they just avoided the drop last time out by beating Leigh in the Million Pound Match.

Julien said: "I’m happy that Warrington and the Dragons have reached to find an agreement to allow me to join the club. I’m grateful for everything Warrington have done for me but I wanted to come back to France to be close to my family.

"I’m now looking forward to join my new club and to work with Steve McNamara."
