England injury woes continue

England have further injury woes ahead of the autumn internationals with Jack Nowell and Mike Williamson both suffering setbacks.

Exeter Chiefs winger Nowell tore a quad muscle at the England camp in Brighton, while Williamson sustained nerve damage in his arm warming up on Saturday for Leicester Tigers.

With flanker Sam Jones breaking his leg and winger Anthony Watson breaking his jaw at the training camp, the injuries are starting to mount for the reigning Six Nations champions ahead of their first autumn international against South Africa on November 12.

Premiership Rugby has criticised the timing and intensity of training with the national side this week, especially with clubs about to start their campaigns in the European competitions next weekend.
