Hull KR hooker Shaun Lunt has confirmed he will stay with the club next season despite their relegation from Super League last weekend.
The former Huddersfield and Leeds Rhinos hooker was unable to help his side avoid the drop as they lost to Salford in the Million Pound Game.
Hull KR were in disappointing form during the regular season but they made a strong start to the Qualifiers.
James Webster's side were then beaten in extra-time following a late comeback from Salford and several players are expected to leave the club following their relegation to the Championship.
However, Lunt, who signed a four-year deal at the club 14 months ago, has confirmed his desire to stay.
"It was always my intention to stay at the club next season should the worst happen and I'm pleased that everything has been sorted out so quickly.
"As far as I'm concerned, I was part of the team that got the club relegated and I want to be part of the team that gets the club promoted back up to Super League again."
