With Munster preparing for Saturday's PRO12 clash with Ospreys, they have announced new deals for Ireland international Keatley, 30, and South Africa international Taute.

Both players are key to Munster's future, according to director of rugby Rassie Erasmus, who said: "With Ian and Jaco we are retaining the services of two quality players.

"Both highly experienced and versatile, they not only add value on field but are also good guys to have in our environment."

The province's most-capped player Ryan, however, is leaving and will join French Top-14 side Racing 92 over the close season after making 165 appearances since making his debut back in 2004.

His exit has been confirmed alongside centre Francis Saili, prop Peter McCabe and lock John Madigan, who will also move on elsewhere.

Centre Cian Bohane and lock Mark Chisholm, meanwhile, are set to retire at the end of the campaign.
