Wigan coach Shaun Wane says Sean O'Loughlin will be given "every chance" to prove his fitness for Saturday's Grand Final.
Wigan take on Warrington in the Super League showpiece at Old Trafford and O'Loughlin was initially expected to miss out.
The England loose forward has been missing for the last two months due to a calf injury and was not named in Wane's original 19-man for Saturday's Grand Final.
However, Wane says the 33-year-old has returned to training and may yet get a chance to take on the Wire this weekend.
"He's trained this week," Wane told Sky Sports News on Friday. "He's trained this morning. We'll have a look at him in the team run today and he'll do the warm-up before the game.
"If he's good, we'll put him in. Lockers is too valuable, too good a player not to give him every chance."
