Wigan head coach Shaun Wane believes the Warriors have pulled off a real coup by signing prop Romain Navarrete.
The Warriors will be focused on Saturday's Super League Grand Final against Warrington Wolves at Old Trafford but already the club are making preparations for the 2017 campaign.
Catalans Dragons forward Navarrete has caught the eye with his performances across the Channel and Wigan have decided to snap up the prop on a two-year deal.
Wane was delighted to get the deal over the line for the 22-year-old and feels he will be a great addition to the squad for next season.
He said: "We're very excited by what we've already seen of Romain. He runs the ball hard and is exactly the type of player that I like to have in our front row.
"He's a robust prop forward and has shown a lot of maturity in his performances during this season for the Catalans."
