Mario Suarez is reportedly set to turn his loan move from Watford to Valencia into a permanent switch in the January transfer window.
The 29-year-old Spanish midfielder has endured a difficult spell since leaving Atletico Madrid for Fiorentina in summer 2015.
After failing to settle in Italy, the Hornets snapped him up for around four million euros in January but again he only lasted six months at Vicarage Road, making 17 appearances.
Suarez returned to his homeland on a season-long loan with Valencia during the transfer window and has rediscovered his form with the La Liga outfit, scoring twice in the 2-1 win at Sporting Gijon on Sunday night.
Reports in Spain claim Suarez is keen to 'take root' at Valencia and stay put beyond his loan, with a fee of around £5.4million being suggested.
