Andy Roddick put in a super serving performance in his second round match as he saw off Victor Hanescu in straight sets.
Roddick looks to be hitting top form just at the right time as he rained down fifteen aces and hit thirty nine winners.
Roddick has met Hanescu on two previous occasions, winning both in straight sets, and while Hanescu tried to stay with the American he couldn't match his serving prowess.
He wrapped up a fine win 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 to progress with ease to the third round.
Speaking to the ATP after the match Roddick said: "I felt pretty good... I served well, I returned well.
"I was aggressive coming forward. We finished with a little bit of light left, so all in all it was a good day."
And his third round opponent may provide a much sterner test as he takes on Spaniard Feliciano Lopez, who is no slouch on the green stuff.
Lopez came through 7-6(7-3), 6-7(7-3), 6-2, 6-2 against Rainer Schuettler to set up the third round clash.
Tomas Berdych was another Wimbledon runner up who was in action yesterday as he cruised past Julien Benneteau 6-1 6-4 6-2.
Berdych could be a potential quarter final opponent for defending champion Rafael Nadal and last year's beaten finalist looks to be in good form.
Another play who looks in good form is Richard Gasquet as he lost just nine games in his second round clash with Igor Kunitsyn/
Gasquet could be a fourth round opponent for Great Britain's Andy Murray - which could be a potentially great clash.
