Dimitrov claimed the title at the ATP World Tour Finals last week to land his biggest prize to date.

The Bulgarian trained with Nadal prior to the season-ending showpiece but didn't have to come up against him or even pre-tournament favourite Roger Federer in London.

Nadal was in Dimitrov's group but withdrew after one match due to injury, while Federer fell in the semi-finals to David Goffin.

Dimitrov trails Nadal 10-1 in their head-to-head record and he has never managed to beat Federer in six attempts but the world number three says he still enjoys his meetings with the two stars.

"It was a very friendly practice week [with Nadal], I have a lot of respect for him,” Dimitrov said.

“He’s huge, I love playing against him.

“I have lost 10 times against Nadal and I still like to play with him.

“You learn a lot from Rafa and from Roger as well.”
