France have called up Richard Gasquet for their Davis Cup final showdown against Belgium after Nicolas Mahut withdrew.
Mahut was set to form a strong doubles partnership with Pierre-Hugues Herbert in captain Yannick Noah's plans for the Lille showdown this weekend.
But the 35-year-old had to be replaced ahead of Thursday's draw when it was revealed that he suffered a cut finger on his racquet hand during the ATP World Tour Finals in London last week.
As a result, world number 31 Gasquet has been drafted in and will feature in Saturday's rubber alongside Herbert, while Lucas Pouille and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will be Friday's singles duo and go up against David Goffin and Steve Darcis respectively.
Belgium have also made a change to their line-up on Thursday with Joris de Loore coming in for Arthur de Greef.
