British number one Johanna Konta has hailed Andy Murray for the Scot's support of her and the women's game.
Murray has often spoken out in support for the stars of women's tennis and has done a lot at the grass root level to encourage more girls to take up the sport.
Konta has praised the efforts of former world number one and feels the women's game is lucky to have the support of one of the biggest names in the sport.
She told the WTA Insider Podcast: "I think we’re reasonably lucky in this country because of two words: Andy Murray.
"He’s such a massive supporter of women and women in every role. He’s been so consistent in his messaging in that and we’re so incredibly lucky in that. So I can only try and continue on with his messaging because I believe in that as well."
