Conchita Martinez has revealed her delight after agreeing to reunite with compatriot Garbine Muguruza.
The 45-year-old had previously worked alongside Muguruza during her successful 2017 Wimbledon campaign as a temporary replacement for regular coach Sam Sumyk.
Martinez stepped down from her position after the British Grand Slam event but has now been drafted back in by the world number four.
The 1994 Wimbledon champion admits that it is always a challenge trying to help players achieve their goals but feels she is ready for the task ahead.
Martinez said: 'Returning to work next to Garbine is very gratifying.
'She is a great professional and hard-working, she demands a lot and her levels of intensity are always high, so it is a great challenge for me to start this new stage with her.'
