Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has withdrawn from next month's Qatar Open as he looks to fully recover from a wrist injury.
The Frenchman, who won the Doha-based tournament in 2012, has been forced to adjust his plans ahead of the 2018 Australian Open due to a wrist issue.
Tsonga had to take some time off at the end of 2017 with a right knee injury but he did return to full fitness in the final weeks of the season.
The 32-year-old was hoping to return to action at the event in Qatar, which starts on January 1, but his preparations for the first Grand Slam of the year have now taken a hit.
The 2008 Australian Open runner-up will be targeting a return to full fitness in time for the start of the competition at Melbourne Park on January 15.
