Manchester United have reportedly joined Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan and Sevilla in the race to sign Sao Paulo defender Rodrigo Caio.
The 23-year-old Brazilian has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in the January transfer window with Jose Mourinho thought to be on the lookout for someone to play alongside summer signing Eric Bailly in the long term.
Caio has been tipped for the top ever since making his senior debut aged 17 and has, in the past, been linked with a move to Arsenal.
He came close to joining Sevilla in the summer, after starring as the left-sided centre-back in Brazil's gold medal-winning Olympic Games side, but is now on the wanted lists of PSG and AC Milan too.
A representative of the £12million-rated player's agency said: "A departure this winter? For now, I do not know. We must wait. Rodrigo is happy, he works hard and is focused to give the best of himself."
