Watford boss Marco Silva is reportedly hoping to secure a loan deal with Benfica for Peruvian winger Andre Carrillo.
The 26-year-old started his career in his homeland with Allanza Lima before making the switch to Portugal in 2011 with Sporting Lisbon where he played under Silva.
Benfica signed the winger last summer but he was restricted to just 20 Primeira Liga outings, only three of which were starting appearances, and he is understood to be frustrated at a lack of opportunities.
Reports claim Silva is hoping to take advantage of the situation as he looks to reinforce his Watford squad ahead of the 2017-18 campaign.
Carrillo currently has four years left on his contract so a loan deal looks most likely and Watford would need to pay a fee of 1million euros.
