Sunderland striker James Vaughan has joined League One leaders Wigan for an undisclosed fee.
The 29-year-old, who arrived at the Stadium of Light in a free transfer from Bury in July last year, scored just twice in 23 appearances for the Black Cats.
A club statement said: "Sunderland AFC can confirm that striker James Vaughan has completed a permanent transfer to Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee.
"The 29-year-old has scored two goals in 23 appearances since joining from Bury in the summer."
Vaughan will be eligible to make his Latics debut against Peterborough on Saturday.
