Georginio Wijnaldum has handed Liverpool an injury scare ahead of Monday's visit of Man Utd after picking up a hamstring problem.
The summer signing from Newcastle, who has started every Premier League game for the Reds so far this season, suffered the injury while playing for the Netherlands in their 2018 World Cup qualifier against France.
The 25-year-old limped off after an hour of the game and will now head back to Merseyside where he is expected to undergo a scan on Tuesday afternoon to determine the extent of the issue.
Any issue would likely mean Wijnaldum will miss Monday's huge game against arch-rivals United, leaving Jurgen Klopp with another hole to fill in his midfield.
The German boss is already set to be without Adam Lallana for Liverpool's next match after he suffered a groin strain in the win at Swansea before the international break.
